Why attend a STEAM summer program?
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) approach to learning gives kids a unique opportunity to explore different areas of study in a fun and engaging way. STEAM activities can assist in molding students into lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and problem solvers. Grand Makers adds to these benefits in our daily devotional time by using STEAM as a lens through which campers can study the Bible and learn more about our ultimate Grand Maker- God.
Other reasons to pursue a STEAM camp for your child over the summer include but are not limited to:
Slowing summer learning loss by engaging kids’ minds and drawing upon their learning from the previous school year
Giving kids an opportunity to experience academic success in a low-stakes environment. This builds confidence as kids are given opportunities to take risks and problem solve without worrying about the pressures that a classroom environment may impose upon kids.
Sparking an interest in STEAM based careers and topics from an early age
Encouraging students in collaboration and creativity which are skills that are many times neglected within a traditional classroom environment during the school year
